Mitel Product Naming Overview OCTOBER, 2014 VERSION Mitel Product NAMING OVERVIEW VERSION Mitel Product Naming Mitel and heritage Aastra products are being named to provide a simpler Mitel story that is more in line with how customers buy. General Naming Guidelines Mitel products are organized into four Product families: MiContact Center includes contact center, call recording, workforce optimization. mivoice includes call control platforms, management solutions, desktop phone portfolio. MiCollab includes collaboration, unified communications applications, video. MiCloud includes Cloud retail offerings and wholesale offerings for service providers. Call control platforms and their associated solutions are further named by the customer segment they typically serve: office - small to medium business Business medium business/enterprise Enterprise large enterprise When multiple products exist for the same customer segment, they are then given numeric descriptors to further delineate them.
MITEL PRODUCT NAMING OVERVIEW ... MiVoice Office 250 MiVoice Office 400 Two exceptions are the Aastra A5000 and MX-ONE ... Products that Mitel OEM’s will generally drop the 3rd party brand and replace it with “Mitel”. Example: “Xarios Phone Manager” becomes “Mitel Phone Manager”.
