COADY , Hanora ( greene ).doc MRS. PIERCE COADY Sunday, October 28, 1917, marked the passing of one of the oldest members of St. Patrick's Georgetown. One by one those who were the earliest settlers in these parts are passing from earth and by their works ye shall know them. Annie Green was born in the County Tipperary, Ireland, on Christmas, (December 25) 1837. She came to this country when about nineteen years of age living for a short time in Ohio later going to Keokuk, Iowa, where she was married to PIERCE COADY on February 4, 1859. They came at once to his farm in Franklin township where they spent fifty-one years together. Of the ten children the following survive: John, James, Lawrence, Patrick, Mrs. John Judge and Mrs. James O'Brien, together with thirty-nine grand children and five great grand children. One brother, Michael Green, still lives in Georgetown.
