Lane Steel Installs 72 Hi-Strength Triple Turret Shape-Correction Andiamo Slitter McKees Rocks, PA - Lane Steel Company has installed a high-performance precision shape-correction Turret Head Slitting Line in its coil processing and distribution center in McKees Rocks, PA. The new Slitting Line has the capacity to process 60,000-lb x 72 wide coils in gauges from .012 through .250 , with mechanical properties ranging to 81,000-psi. Slitting capacity is 19-cuts in .250 . An Outboard Support engages before the coil is set on the Uncoiler drum. The Uncoiler and Entry Unit have the ability to uncoil from top or bottom. The new Slitting Line is equipped with performance and product quality enhancing features that include an Entry Straightener, Triple Turret Head Slitter, Andiamo Automatic Hands-Free Threading, Loop Doubler, Loop Control Variable Tensioning, Precision Shape- Correction Leveler, and Off-Line Coil OD Banding.
