In recent years his work has included the development of the Road User and Traffic Control Devices Rules, the nzta Manual of traffic control devices and he is New Zealand s representative on the panel which oversees the development of the Austroads Guide to Traffic Management. Abstract This paper considers Standards and Guidelines relating to road marking from the regulator, traffic management or road user perspective rather than in terms of technical specifications.
