The program, called past ( Paleontological Statistics ), runs on stan-dard Windows computers and is available free of charge. past integrates spread-sheet-type data entry with univariate and multivariate Statistics , curve fitting, time-series analysis, data plotting, and simple phylogenetic analysis.
