This map represents a point in time, at the beginning of Wyoming s statehood, when the interior boundaries that shape Wyoming as we know it today were still a work in progress. I love examining old maps because they often tell the story of our human experience; each map being a snapshot of the knowledge or perceptions that we possessed at the time.
