Peerinteractions serve a variety of important roles for preschoolers. Throughout the day, as they watch, imitate, model, andinteract with each other, preschoolers learn to share, solve problems, and collaborate. They also build friendships that promotepositive Social and emotional development. These skills don t all come naturally, however, and some children have difficultyinteracting with their peers and building friendships. Some children must be taught the skills necessary to interact with theirpeers.
