Question: Does your state have academic standards for health education in grades K-12? And, if so, are schools required to use them? Arkansas Schools are required to use them. #health Colorado Colorado does have health standards adopted by our state board of education along with all of the other state standards (reading, writing, math, etc.) Here's a link to them on the Colorado Dept. of Ed's website: =0&glid2=0. I should note that our statute ( 22-7-1005 (2), ) doesn't specifically name "comprehensive health" as one of the areas for which standards are required, but the statutory list is nonexclusive, giving the state board the ability to adopt standards in additional areas.
