Certification Those engaged in (or directly supervising) steel erection must hold a Basic rigging certificate or equivalent old certificate. Where steel erection involves multiple crane lifting operations or the use of load equalising gear, the Intermediate rigging certificate (or equivalent old certificate) is required.
