clearer (e.g. Human Rights Act 1988, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Domestic Violence Crime and Victims Act 2004). In recognition of the changing context, previous references to the protection of "vulnerable adults" and to "adult protection"work are now replaced by the new term: 'Safeguarding Adults'.
