School Improvement Partners Role and responsibilities A key member of the LA team is the School Improvement partner (SIP), who evaluates the School Self Evaluation Form as part of their role. All schools in Hounslow have an accredited SIP to provide professional challenge and support to the School . The SIP works within a local context but also a national framework. The SIP Cycle in Hounslow The role of the SIP is to: act as a critical professional friend to the School , helping leadership teams to evaluate School performance, identify priorities for Improvement and plan effective change contribute to whole School Improvement , including effective contribution to the Every Child Matters outcomes; provide information to governing bodies on their School s performance and development help build capacity to improve learners achievement and well-being and to realise other key outcomes for them provide challenge and support for the senior leadership team work with a range of Partners to deliver challenge and support for schools and settings.
