Disinfect the vehicle after transporting 7 Use Safe Burial PracticesThere is risk of transmission in the health facility when a VHFpatient dies because the bodies and body fluids of deceased VHFpatients remain contagious for several days after death. Familyand community members are also at risk if Burial Practices involvetouching and washing the the Body SafelyBurial should take place as soon as possible after the body isprepared in the health facility. Health facility staff should: Prepare the body safely.
