The aim is to help identify which senses may be impacted upon and why this may result in the child having difficulties dealing with certain Sensory stimulus and/or environments and why an individual may present with certain behaviours. This information pack will not provide a diagnosis for a child but instead will guide you to support a child to develop coping strategies to better manage their Sensory needs or to inform a more comprehensive assessment.

The checklist includes many of the most common sensory preferences and differences, and is divided into categories based on the sensory system and how the brain and nervous system may process the input.
