The solar panel support frame is made of stock metal to reduce weight. Because the solar panels only weigh 24 pounds each, the metal should have no problem supporting the load as seen in the structural analysis section bellow. The panels are fixed to the frame with the use of small brackets that bolt into the solar panel support frame.
