Supply Chain SuStainability - BSR

Supply Chain SuStainability A Practical Guide for Continuous Improvement ii Supply Chain SuStainability Launched in 2000, the United Nations Global Compact is both a policy platform and a practical framework for companies that are committed to SuStainability and responsible business practices. As a multi-stakeholder leadership initiative, it seeks to align business operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption and to catalyze actions in support of broader United Nations goals. With more than 8,000 signatories in more than 135 countries, it is the world's largest voluntary corporate responsibility initiative. A leader in corporate responsibility since 1992, BSR works with its global network of more than 250 member companies to develop sustainable business strategies and solutions through consulting, research and cross-sector collaboration.

The role of the advisory group is to provide input to the overall strategy and work done by the Global Compact Office on the issue of supply chain sustainability, and to ensure that the guidance material developed is robust and addresses the needs of business. The advisory group is chaired by Mr. Mads Øvlisen, a member of the Global Compact Board.
