Jennifer Wilson and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Teaching the Holocaust A Resource Manual for Educators Teaching the Holocaust Dear Educator, The following lesson plans are designed to be a shorter unit on the Holocaust in an effort to provide a variety of resources and activities for teachers when they are faced with time constraints for the topic. Many teachers have several lessons or class periods for the topic of the Holocaust , sometimes leaving the complex context surrounding the events, and the many variables that contributed to the Holocaust hastily reviewed. The series of lessons are designed for grades 9-12, but may be adapted for younger grades at the discretion of the teacher. These lessons are by no means comprehensive and all inclusive-there are many areas that can be elaborated upon and studied further beyond the activities of the lesson.
