The Holy Eucharist
A canticle is a non-metrical song used in liturgical worship with a text taken from Scripture other than the Psalter. Canticles follow the readings in both Morning and Evening Prayer and sometimes are used instead of a psalm in the liturgy of the Eucharist. Isaiah 12:2-6 Surely, it is God who saves me; I will trust in him and not be afraid.
