UNIT-6 TITRIMETRIC ANALYSIS ( redox REACTIONS)THE oxidation and reduction reactions in aqueous solutions involve thetransfer of electrons from one species to another. In the oxidation of asubstance electron(s) is (are) transfered from the species and in reduction,electron(s) is (are) gained by the species. Oxidation and reduction reactions occursimultaneously. A reaction, which involves simultaneous oxidation andreduction, is called a redox reaction. The titrations involving redox reaction arecalled redox titrations.
