Premium Quality Gourmet Chicken ProductsPage 2In 1959 a very small butcher shop in Kensington supplied local customers with quality meat and chicken. Before long, news spread of the service and quality of meat and chicken supplied and the business outgrew the little shop. The business owner, John Piskopos realised that the market demand for poultry was ever increasing and so he took the business in a new direction: a wholesale supplier of poultry. In the late 1980 s, John Piskopos son, Nick joined the business and it grew substantially. The business diversifi ed further into producing quality poultry products such as chicken schnitzels and chicken kebabs. The business outgrew a number of premises as the production of chicken schnitzels increased due to great demand. Today the company, now known as Universal Poultry Products, has evolved to become one of the largest manufacturers of chicken schnitzels in Australia.
