ABSTRACT Facebook has now become the most popular social networking tool among university-aged youth. Its popularity has transformed it into an acceptable platform for educational purposes.

a study by Pempek, Yermolayeva and Calvert (2009) showed that college students spend an average of 27.93 minutes per day during weekdays and an average of 28.44 minutes per day during weekends on Facebook. However, Alhazmi, and Rahman (2013) reported that 78.9% of students spend more than one (1) hour a day on Facebook.
