WATER HEATERS - IAPMO
Part Applicability. The regulations of this chapter shallgovern the construction, location, and installation of fuel-burning instantaneous and other WATER HEATERS heating potablewater. The minimum capacity for WATER HEATERS shall be inaccordance with the first hour rating listed in Table , construction, and workmanship shall be in accor-dance with accepted engineering practices, manufacturer sinstallation instructions, and applicable standards and shallbe of such character as to secure the results sought to beobtained by this code. No WATER heater shall be hereinafterinstalled that does not comply with the type and model ofeach size thereof approved by the State Plumbing Board. Alist of accepted gas appliance standards are included in Direct-Vent WATER HEATERS . WATER HEATERS that areconstructed and installed so that air for combustion is deriveddirectly from the outside atmosphere and all flue gases aredischarged to the outside atmosphere.
