Affordable Housing Transformational Task Force
We are losing existing affordable housing at a high rate. While demand for housing has increased, both project-based and naturally occurring affordable housing have been lost to market forces. State data show that the number of units deemed affordable for those making less than $45,000/year decreased by almost 300,000 units in the last decade.
