Basic General Wastewater Study Guide
Anoxic is a condition under which oxygen is only available in a combined form such as nitrate (NO3-), nitrite (NO2-), or sulfate (SO4-2) in an aqueous environment. Biosolids are the nutrient-rich, organic byproduct of a municipal wastewater treatment plant that is utilized as fertilizer.
