For good legibility, a type size with 10 characters per 25.4 mm (1.0 in) is recommended. A maximum of 15 characters per 25.4 mm (1.0 in) should not be exceeded. This type size has been chosen as the smallest in which information is clear and legible to a person with normal eyesight. Use of upper-case characters is recommended.
