For each of the changes we must consider whether the number of molecular collisions increases or decreases. (a) The volume increases, and so the number of collisions decreases; thus the pressure decreases. (b) The temperature decreases, and so the number of collisions decreases; thus, the pressure decreases. (c) When the moles of gas increase, the number of molecules increases.
