Math Definitions: Introduction to Numbers
The result of adding all numbers and then dividing by the number of items. The average of 10 and 12 = 10+ 12 2 = 11 . Median The middle number of an ordered number of items. Make sure to put the list in order first. If there is no middle number, take the average of the two numbers in the middle. The median of 1, 10, and 11 = 10.
