The role of the Senior Practitioner is to guide decision making and promote positive alternatives to restrictive practices that preserve a person’s rights and freedoms. Under Section 10 of the SP Act, a provider must not use a restrictive practice on a person, other than in accordance with a registered Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Plan.
