Quantum Mechanics
The aim of this course is to develop non-relativistic quantum mechanics as a complete theory of microscopic dynamics, capable of making detailed predictions, with a minimum of abstract mathematics. 1.4 Outline of Course The first part of the course is devoted to an in-depth exploration of the basic principles of quantum mechanics.

So, in principle, we could write down the exact laws of motion for a thermodynamical system, including all of the inter-atomic forces.
