5. Remove spark plug wires and all other wiring/vacuum hoses from distributor. Now is a good time to clean off any debris that may fall into the oil pump galley. 6. Remove distributor hold-down. Lift the distributor upwards and remove. 7. As you are removing the distributor, note that the rotor rotates as you lift the distributor out of the engine.
