sandwich are sheets of duralumin alloy about 1 mm. thick; the half-inch-thick filling consists of tiny honeycombs of either phenolic resin-fiberglass cloth, or less commonly, of very light gauge duralumin. The core is bonded to the duralumin outer layers with phenolic adhesives and cured at a pressure of 175 p.s.i. at 350 degrees F. for two hours.
