SysML itself is defined using stereotypes on the underlying unified modelling language (UML). Stereotypes are discussed in Section 5.3. 5.2.1 Frames Any SysML diagram must have a graphic node known as a frame that encapsulates the diagram in order to make identification of, and navigation between, diagrams simpler.
