Transitional Kindergarten IMPLEMENTATION GUIDE
to develop a transitional kindergarten program for children who will no longer be age-eligible for kindergarten. Transitional kindergarten is the first year of a two-year program that provides a “modified kindergarten curriculum that is age and developmentally appropriate” (Education Code Section 48000).
