1 viscor CALIBRATION FLUIDS CALIBRATION FLUIDS for diesel fuel pumps & injectors Description Diesel engine and fuel injection system manufacturers long ago recognised the need for a diesel fuel reference fluid for use in calibrating pumps and nozzles. Prior to the late 1960 s, every major OEM had different specifications for diesel fuel reference fluid . The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and the International Standards Organization (ISO), composed of all major OEM s and related component suppliers, teamed up to develop a single uniform fluid that could be used to calibrate all automotive and truck diesel fuel injection systems. Application viscor 1487 AW-2 provides anti-wear protection required by Bosch, and is approved and used by all major fuel system, engine and test stand manufacturers.
2 viscor CALIBRATION FLUIDS are used to calibrate, flow test and flush diesel fuel injection system pumps, injector nozzles and piping in both OEM and recon applications. They are formulated to provide guaranteed viscosity and specific gravity (density) ranges, humidity and galvanic corrosion protection, light colour for leak testing, oxidation stability for long test and sump life, anti-wear (scoring) protection, foam resistance and a high flash point for reduced risk of fire.
