SAIL THE HUDSON- MARK YOUR CALENDARS August 18th is a night not to be missed. Our Parish is sponsoring an evening cruise on the Hudson. The two hour cruise (rain or shine) will feature music, dancing, and food. The Home Plate Deli will provide us with pork & steak sliders, a selection of side salads, including, macaroni and cheese, and desserts.
6 A cash bar will also be available. The Rip Van Winkle departs at 6:30 from the Strand in Kingston with boarding beginning at 6 The cost for this enjoyable night under the stars is $50 per person. What a great way to spend time with family, friends and fellow parishioners. Reservations are on a first come basis since space is limited. Payment may be made by check and either placed in the collection basket or mailed to St. john the Evangelist Church (915 Route 212, Saugerties, New York 12477) with cruise in the memo. Tickets ordered by mail will be held for you at the departure site. Tickets will also be on sale after each of the Holy Masses beginning the weekend of July 7th & 8th.
7 FMI, call Angela Houlihan at 246-7311. Parish APPRECIATION PICNIC Mark your calendar now The picnic will take place on September 9th at 1 PM under the pavilion at the Centerville Firehouse. You do not need to bring anything, it is entirely free. It is Fr. Bill s way of showing his appreciation to everyone in the Parish , for all we do and for who we are. Denise Dudzic will take your reservations for the picnic, call 750-8510. Come out for a fun time with your fellow parishioners. 100-MILE POWERWALK FUNDRAISER- Feel free to sponsor Fr. Woodruff in his 100-Mile Power Walk. Sponsorship money can be given directly to Fr. Bill, or you can drop it in the collection basket with a note indicating the 100-milke walk.
8 Checks are to be made payable to St. john The Evangelist Church with the memo stating 100-Mile Walk. All monies will be used to offset our budget deficit. Thank you. EUCHARISTIC ADORATION- Will take place next weekend after the 10:30 Mass and continue until the 8:30 PM Benediction. Evening prayers will be prayed at 5:30 PM. Sign up sheets are located at the side entrance of the church. CHURCH STORE- Will be open after each of the Holy Masses this weekend. ULTREYA- Join your Cursillo Community as we gather for Ultreya here at St. john s on July 12th at 7:30 PM. Bring something for the sharing table. FMI, call Joe at 246-6908. THE Parish COUNCIL MEETING IS THIS MONDAY, JULY 9th, AT 6:30 IN THE CHURCH HALL.
10 YOU ARE MOST CORDIALLY INVITED TO ATTEND THE MEETING. This coming Wednesday, July 11th, is our semi-annual Blood Drive. It runs from 3:00 until 7:30 Please consider donating a pint of blood that day; one pint can service three people and it may make the difference in saving the lives of those three folks. I want to thank you in advance for joining me in donating a pint of blood: the Gift of Life. Cursillo s Ultreya is this Thursday, July 12th, at 8:00 in the Church Chapel and Hall. All-Day Adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament is this Sunday, July 15th, from the conclusion of the 10:30 Holy Mass until 8:30 Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament. There is a sign-up sheet to commit to a full Holy Hour or just be most welcome to spend a little time with Our Lord.
