4 The Planmeca ProMax Cephalostatis used to position the patient s head accurately for takingX-ray images of the cephalostat is attached to a 2D or 3D PlanmecaProMax X-ray unit. The X-ray unit has a separate to the X-ray unit s user s manual for any generalinformation about the X-ray This manual is valid for software version orlater. This software version is compatible withPlanmeca Romexis software version or later. To check the software version of your X-ray unit, selectSettings > About > 4100 Component Information > ProMax SW sure that you are fully acquainted with theappropriate radiation protection measures and theseinstructions before you use the X-ray The X-ray unit may be used by health careprofessionals X-RAY UNIT ONThe on / off switch is located on the underside of thestationary column To prolong the lifetime of the X-ray unit, always switchthe X-ray unit off when it is not in active use.
