1 Query Search - Public Web-GIS 1 County of Renfrew Web-GIS tips & Tricks - Query/Search the Public Web-GIS - Purpose: How to use the two custom query tools in the County of Renfrew s Web-GIS . ( ) 1) Queries/Searches can be access from the orange button or the Finding Features tab 2) There are 2 custom searches available: (1) By Civic Address, and (2) Build a Query. Find a Civic Address: Click on the Street Name box and a list of all of the roads in the County will populate. Scroll through the list and pick the road.
2 Click on the Address Number box and the civic addresses for that road will populate. Click on the address number. Click Find. The Web-GIS will zoom to that property, and a list of the results will appear in the Results Window. Build a Query You can build a query using any of the layers that are on the map. In the Layer box click the layer you want to perform a search on. (For example click on Water Body if you want to find a lake name). A list of all the fields available will populate. Choose the field. (In this example choose Official_Name ). A single click on a field name will populate the Values.
3 Double click to add a field name, operator, or value to the query box; a second double click will remove it from the box. Once your query is built select the Query button to run your query. The Web-GIS will zoom to that feature(s), and a list of the results will appear in the Results Window. Query Search - Public Web-GIS 2 ** Note: The yellow progress bar will run while the system searches the database for matches. The speed of the results can be affected by the amount of traffic on the site.
4 3) Properties/features matching your search will be listed in the results window (at left). To identify a particular property/feature, hover over the listing in the results window and the parcel will be highlighted in yellow on the map. 4) To see more detail information about a feature, double-click on the results entry or identify the parcel on the map and click View Additional Details in the Map Tip that opens.
