In many cases the data needed to support or contradict such decisions exists, but no one in the organization knows how to analyze the data . data often contains information that is not available from any other source. data Analysis is required to extract this information. This 16 hour course provides the statistical tools needed for the most common types of data Analysis that apply to all organizations in all business sectors. Throughout the course participants practice these methodologies in class using minitab statistical software . How You Will Benefit: By the end of the course, you will be able to: Import data sets into minitab , export minitab worksheets to other programs. Use statistical graphics to display data and data Analysis results.

Prerequisites: A laptop computer loaded with Minitab software is required for this course. The instructor will be using Minitab 16, but other recent revisions may also be used.

Instructor Bio: Russell Boyles Dr. Russell A. Boyles is Vice-president of ETI Group . Dr. Boyles earned his in Mathematics and Ph. D. in Statistics at the University of California, Davis. He subsequently spent two years in the Applied Mathematics Group at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, two years as Director of Statistical Analysis for NERCO Minerals Company, and eight years as Statistical Methods Manager at Precision Castparts Corporation.

4 Several of his research papers have appeared in the ASQ publications Journal of Quality Technology and Technometrics. A Six Sigma Master Black Belt with 20 years experience, Russell specializes in Design of Experiments, Process Capability, Measurement System Analysis and Statistical Process Control.
