1 With DIALux Light you can make calculations for simple Light planning. Simply follow the five steps In the first box you will find information about the following steps on how to use DIALux Light . Click In the next box you may fill in your details about Project Description and Contact. Filling in these details is optional and is not necessary to continue with the programme. When you are finished, please click In the next box of the project you will describe the room. There are six parameters to fill in: Room Geometry, Reflection Factors, Room Parameters, Workplane, Luminaire Selection and Luminaire Mounting. Room Geometry fill in the size of the room. Reflection Factors fill in the reflection factor of the surfaces. Room Parameters fill in the maintenance factor of the room. This value can be between and Workplane this is the area that ranges from a certain height parallel to the floor. Height: how high above the floor is the work-plane?
2 Standard is m. Wall zone: How big is the wall zone, the distance between the working area and the walls? If you fill in m, the calculations will be m from the wall in the entire room. Luminaire Selection Click on the button for Catalogues to choose a fitting from the data bases that you have already installed on your computer. You can also download new data bases here. The data bases that are down-loaded are those above the blue line. The fitting that you have chosen will automatically be in your project/calculation. When finished, turn off the data base and return to the calculation programme. Add selected luminaire to User Database can be used in the main programme to create your own data base.
3 Mounting Fill in the mounting of the fitting for example flush mounting, directly on ceiling or pendant. When you are finished with all the param-eters, please click In this box you will fill in the desired Planned Em. Then click on the button Suggestion, the programme will calculate how many fittings you need on the horizontal and vertical ar-rangements to achieve a Planned Em as close to your preferences as possible. If you are not satisfied, it is possible to fill in the number of fittings that you would like to use on the hori-zontal and vertical arrangements. When you have chosen the first alternative with the Suggestion button, or if you have done it manually, click on Calculate to start the real calculation. When this is done and you are happy with the result, please click on The last box is for printing/presentation. The presentation contains of five pages, if you do not wish to print them all, please undo the green tick above to the page you do not wish to print.
