TENNESSEE SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF

The Tennessee School for the eaf was established in 1844 by an act of the State Legislature D and opened its doors with nine students on June 1, 1845. The school was located in what is now known as the “LMU/Duncan School of Law” on Summit Hill Drive in Knoxville until 1924.
