Four states (Colorado, Minnesota, Oregon, and Virginia) and the District of Columbia passed laws requiring new types of notification either to the resident or to the state. For example, effective August 1, 2021 in Minnesota, each assisted living facility must provide residents a uniform checklist disclosure of services.
