8 Through lectures and practical learning programs, students learn about Japan-Taiwan relations, cross-cultural understanding, and the importance of learning foreign 2 languages. Participants register for the Liberal Arts Subject Online International Seminar A (1 credit), and attend three prior lectures and orientation over a period of about three months, as well as a self-study meeting organized by students, and a post-study session after the program. In order to evaluate learning outcomes, the BEVI-j competency assessment and language proficiency test are conducted before and after the program. / Detailed plan of the course (1) Plan of specialized lecture /Period Around /month /day /month /day /Details This program aims to deepen students' understanding of Taiwanese culture and modern Taiwan under the theme of "Modern Taiwan from the perspective of Taiwan's cultural and religious heritage.
9 In particular, students learn about the development of today's Taiwan and its backgrounds, such as history, culture, language, ideology, and faith, and are encouraged to think deeply about Japan-Taiwan relations and Japan's position in East Asia. Students are required to attend three prior lectures and orientation at Hiroshima University during the 4th term, and at the same time, a self-study meeting will be organized voluntarily. From March, students attend lectures provided by the partner university for two weeks, lectures by local experts, and language training (Chinese) at National Central University. At the end of the program, students make a final presentation online.
