Kahn offers standard flywheel designs for allengines with specified inertia requirements. High-speedflywheels, capable of operating at rotational speeds up to30,000 rpm, are manufactured from one-piece hrgh-strength alloy steel forgings. Equipped with aircraft typehigh-speed ball bearings, they are available with oiFmistor oil-jet lubrication. All flywheels are dynamicallybalanced in accordance with ANSI Standard mosl turboshaft applications, the Kahn dynamometeris mounted via adapters directly to the flywheel is transmitted by a splined quillshaft.
