2 Thetwo-way 8340 incorporates theproven reliability and performancefeatures found in the industry stan-dard JBL 8330 Surround LoudspeakerSystem and is designed to accuratelyreproduce the extended dynamicrange and frequency response charac-teristics required by digital 8340 incorporates a high-power, long-throw 250 mm (10 in)low frequency transducer whichextends the frequency response tobelow 50 Hz. The low frequencydriver features an SFG (SymmetricalField Geometry) magnet structurewhich lowers second harmonic distor-tion to inconsequential levels. Thehigh frequency section incorporatesa 19 mm ( in) compression driver/horn combination capable of veryhigh output power.
