2 We also need to be able to monitor how this data changes over time. Actility is leading the way in smart monitoring with their LoRaWAN (Low Power Wide Area Networks) across a diverse range of combination of sensors and the network technology supplied by Actility , powered by connectivity from Inmarsat can make it easier and more efficient to monitor multiple assets and collect data. By using high numbers of sensors across very large geographical areas, users can reach further and gather more sensors can collect data on almost anything you can imagine from air quality in a city, to motion (such as the opening of a school gate) to footfall on a shop floor of a retail outlet or even enable organisations in the oil and gas sector to monitor, command and control remote oil production and distribution of any type can be connected to a base station, with each base station able to cover up to 700Km2 connecting thousands of things at a time.
