4 The ALTERNATOR is an important component of theaircraft. An ALTERNATOR failure could result in an unplanned landing or even moresevere consequences creating an unsafe condition that may result in death, seriousbodily injury, and/or substantial property damage. It is, therefore, essential that thealternator is properly maintained according to the recommended service proceduresand monitored to detect impending problems before they become serious.
