It describes how to remove a pin (either tomove it to a new hole or because it is broken) and how to place a pin into thedesired hole.

3 If it is okay, proceedto the next Pin InstallationSelect the hole that you wish to putthe pogo pin into (the holes are laidout to have different RF-to-groundpitches for a wider range of applica-tions). Again, it is important to placethe pogo pin into the socket with apair of pliers. Notice that every effortis made to place the pogo pin into thesocket in a straight manner along thecommon the pliers to push the pogo pininto the socket as far as it will go. Donot force it at this you have pressed the pogo pininto the probe as far as you can withthe sockets you will need to give it afinal push to get it the rest of the wayinto the probe.
4 To do this, use a solid,flat tool (perhaps use the oppositeend of a pair of tweezers as shown).4 Inter-Continental MicrowavePush firmly with the flat tool to pop thepogo pin into the socket. You should feela final movement in the pogo pin whenit secures itself into the mating pushing the pogo pin into theprobe,you should see only the com-pressive partof the pogo pin (it shouldlook similar tothe picture at the right).Contact Socket ReplacementThe contact sockets are secured in the probe housing with a small amount of epoxy.
5 Please use theprocedure outlined in 41130950 when replacing the RemovalYou will need a diameter drill bit and a pin vise for this application. Slowly hand drill halfwaydown into the damaged socket (under microscope is most effective). When the socket rotates with thedrill, the socket is loose enough to pull it out of the probe housing. If the socket is difficult to remove, itis helpful to heat the probe body to 100 degree Celsius to loosen the epoxy. This will make it easier toremove the of New SocketMake sure the probe body and the new socket are clean.
