My experi-ences as a BALANCED SCORECARD practitioner with a large Canadian companytaught me that tremendous results are possible with the tool, but to attainthose results, you must overcome numerous pitfalls that can derail or sig-nif icantly damage the implementation effort.

9 I have been amazed andhumbled at the success of the f irst edition, which has now been translated inover a dozen languages.
