2 The receiver drier receives liquid refrigerant from thecondenser, stores it, filters out contaminates from the a/c system, and removesmoisture. A/C systems using a receiver drier use an expansion valve to controlthe refrigerant are similar to that of the receiver drier. It is usually mounted onthe low side, at the outlet of the evaporator. The accumulator accumulates orstores excess refrigerant, filters and dries the refrigerant. Accumulators are usedon CCOT (Cycling Clutch Orifice Tube) or FFOT (Ford Fixed Orifice Tube)systems. These systems use a orifice tube instead of an expansion valve tocontrol the refrigerant Filters are designed to be used in the liquid line in a/c systems with theorifice tube located in the evaporator. Placing the in-line filter up stream of theorifice eliminates the need to flush most systems, because the impurities aretrapped before they reach the orifice tube.

3 These filters are designed to hold upto 90 grams of debris, without a substantial penalty to the system s flow.
