BIM application case study of civil infrastructure Industry *, *, * , **, ** Min Ji Kim*, Kyoung Hee Lee*, Suk Hyun Kwon* , Seong Il Park**, Sang Cheol Lee** Abstract Korea s application of infrastructure industries BIM such as railways roads bridges ports city water has been insignificant comparing to other countries including Japan, but as recent industry insiders interests are increasing, there are active infrastructure BIM related study and business applications. However, BIM application of public sector has wider target range comparing to construction sector, and as its dependence on a sector, standard library construction and application is not easy so that it remains as a limitation up to today.
2 Because of this reason, while BIM application of Korea now has a limitation that it needs to be visualized from 2D model to 3D model through process data to focus on hardware aspect which connects to 4D process data, connection of 4D process data through accurate 3D modeling is essential. This study contributes to BIM case application Data base accumulation of railway facilities with a very basic but essential approach of BIM application through 4D simulation and M EP implementation of railway facilities.
