1 GOVERNMENT OF INDIATHE DEPARTMENT OF BIOTECHNOLOGY,MINISTRY OF SCIENCE&TECHNOLOGYANNOUNCES THE CALL FORLETTER OF INTENTUNDER BIOTECHNOLOGY CAREER ADVANCEMENT AND RE-ORIENTATIONPROGRAMME FOR WOMEN SCIENTISTS BioCAReTo enhance the participation of Women Scientists in BiotechnologyResearch, the Department of BiotechnologyinvitestheLetter of Intents(LOIs)under the BioCARe scheme for women scientists. Theprogramme is targettedtowardsCareer Development ofemployed/unemployed women scheme is open for all areasof Life Science /Biotechnology(including agriculture, veterinary science andmedicine).
2 Age limit for application has been kept as 55 to ensure programme aims atproviding support forResearchproject grants towomen scientists (employed & unemployed)forwhom it is the firstextramural research grant(Women Scientists who have received anyearlier grantfrom any Government Funding Agencyas PrincipalInvestigatorare not eligible).The purpose is to build capacities for womenscientists so as to help them undertake independent R&D wouldalso be a good opportunity for Women Scientists who have had a CareerBreaktoget into the main stream of Letter of Intentthrough e-PROMIS portalof DBT ( ).
